Sam started Samuel Bassett, Sh*t Hot Fencing. Beautiful Gardens. with one goal: to bring back pride and reliability to the fencing trade. After years working on the tools, he’d seen too many rushed jobs, flimsy panels, and “that’ll do” attitudes — so he decided to do it better.
He’s built his reputation on honest quotes, high standards, and rock-solid fences that survive Worcestershire weather (and the occasional football to the face).
These days, Sam spends most of his time quoting, planning, and overseeing jobs, making sure everything runs smoothly and every customer’s thrilled with the result. He’s hands-on when needed, but his real skill lies in keeping projects — and people — perfectly in sync.

We might be a small team, but we pack a punch. Between us, there’s decades of hands-on experience in fencing, decking, and landscaping — and we all share one rule: if you wouldn’t want it in your own garden, don’t leave it in someone else’s.
We’re tidy, punctual, and friendly (though we’ll probably ask to borrow your kettle). Whether it’s a quick fence repair or a full garden transformation, we treat every job with the same care, pride, and attention to detail.
